Backdated Mojave

By | May 25, 2020

After deleting the partition and re-formating the disk with APFS, I wasted another 2 hours just to manage how can I successfully install macOS Mojave on my MBP using my USB Bootable media previously. No matter how I get into the Installation Screen, I got the same error message:

This copy of the Install macOS Mojave.app application is damaged, and can’t be used to install macOS

I thought the error message was caused by corrupted disk image or unsuccessful downloading process, or wrong step when creating the USB Boot Media. Then, I used another old MacBook Pro 2011 to download again, create USB Boot Media again, and… got the same error message again.

Probably, the latest mechanism won’t support installation from USB Bootable media. Then I tried start-up key combination to use macOS Recovery using key combination Command (⌘) + R and Shift + Option + Command (⌘) + R. Both combination gave me another conundrum:

What is Apple Error Code -3001F?

Then, revert to one year back then launch this image again…

There it goes! It seems that there is one digital certificate was expired when I tried to install this image.
